What is SimpleScore?
SimpleScore is an Open Source Time and Score display system particularly developed for the use in canoe polo. Although designed for canoe polo, it can be used in a variety of other sports.
The Product
The scoreboard system is capable of displaying team names, game time, scores, one penalty time per team, and the shotclock on two separate displays. To ensure safe power delivery to the boards, a low-voltage cable connector system is used. What began as a project in our fourth year has grown into our diploma thesis, and we’re proud to present the second version of our system.

SimpleScore V1
The V1 system was developed as part of a 4th-year project and was already used for the first time at the HTL Rennweg sports festival.
SimpleScore V2
The V2 system was based on the original V1 version. As an extension, a team name display, a smart controller unit with a touchscreen, and automatic game result uploads to the cloud were implemented. The game protocols were made publicly accessible through a dedicated webpage. This marked another useful and successful project, which we were proud to complete as our diploma thesis.
